[2011] CGI 2011

Jae-Kyun Ahn and Dae-Youn Lee’s paper “R-D Optimized Progressive Compression of 3D Meshes Using Prioritized Gate Selection and Curvature Prediction” has been selected as one of 35 best papers in Computer Graphics International 2011, which will be held in Ottawa, Canada. The review procedure was very selective with 220 submissions.

Being selected as one of the best papers, JK and DY’s work will be published in the journal, Visual Computer. The acceptance is meaningful, since it will be our first publication in a Graphics journal.

[2010] Three ICIP papers.

We submitted three papers to ICIP 2010, which is the most prestigious conference in the image processing area.

  • Tae-Young Chung, ‘FRAME LOSS CONCEALMENT FOR STEREOSCOPIC VIDEO BASED ON INTER-VIEW SIMILARITY OF MOTION AND INTENSITY DIFFEENCE’
  • Jae-Kyun Ahn, Dae-Youn Lee, ‘PROGRESSIVE COMPRESSION OF TRIANGLE MESHES USING TOPOLOGY-BASED KARHUNEN-LOÈVE TRANSFORM’
  • Chulwoo Lee, Chul Lee, ‘Power-Constrained Contrast Enhancement for OLED Displays Based on Histogram Equalization’

We are proud to announce that all three papers were accepted. This year, the acceptance rate was about 47%. So, the probability that all three papers are accepted is as low as 10%. Excellent jobs!
